Warranty and extended warranty - Refurbished smartphones

General terms and conditions

CertiDeal offers the consumer, who has purchased any product like smartphones and tablets, Apple and Android, etc. on the platform CertiDeal a minimum legal warranty and that you can extend if you want. CertiDeal guarantees the customer that the product purchased on its platform is free from material and technical problems and manufacturing defects not indicated or described in the advertisement. No non-functional device will be sold on our website. Consumers can purchase an extended warranty to extend the warranty coverage time. All products have been tested and inspected by a professional team to ensure their correct functionality.

The warranty agreement is effective from the date of purchase indicated on the CertiDeal invoice. It will expire a certain number of months after the date of purchase, depending on the warranty selected. The warranty is valid for all products purchased on the website CertiDeal, excluding accessories.

The consumer can exercise the right of warranty by informing CertiDeal by sending an email to gomo@certideal.com. The consumer must report product faults not exceeding 15 days between the discovery of the error (sending the email) and the shipment of the product to CertiDeal, this period is reduced to 3 days if the screen is broken during transport. The consumer must prove that the warranty remains valid and explain the context in which the technical problem occurred.

 

Warranty benefits

CertiDeal is free to decide whether the product should be repaired, exchanged or the consumer refunded.

In the first instance, CertiDeal will repair the product but if this is not possible, we will replace the product.

In the case of a replacement, the defective product is replaced by a product of similar quality (same manufacturer, same condition at the time of the warranty, there is the possibility of a color change if the one that has been initially purchased is not available).

If the product in question is no longer manufactured or available, CertiDeal reserves the right to offer the consumer a product of superior quality. CertiDeal reserves the right to refund if repair and replacement is not possible. CertiDeal retains the defective product and will refund the value of the product (value at the time the consumer operated the warranty).

 

Return in case of warranty

In case of problems with a product covered by warranty, the customer should contact the CertiDeal customer service by email or via this link

If the problem cannot be resolved over the phone, the problem is a priori covered by warranty, and the customer service team will initiate the process of reshipping the defective product. CertiDeal sends the customer a prepaid shipping label only if there is no doubt about the warranty validation, after which the product can be returned once packed and well protected.

When the product arrives at CertiDeal, the consumer will receive an e-mail message about the status of the product and the option selected (repair, replacement or refund). In the case of a refund, a bank account statement is requested by the consumer. The customer has 7 days after sending his request to resend his product, otherwise CertiDeal will not be able to guarantee the product, unless the customer is abroad.

If the customer is unable to move for medical reasons, CertiDeal will send a carrier to pick up the product at the customer's place of residence. Reshipment cannot take place without the prior consent of CertiDeal. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

 

Conditions and Exceptions

The precondition for the validity of the warranty is the correct use of the product and the application of the manufacturer's instructions regarding care and maintenance. Some examples of misuse:

• Water, extreme heat and fire damage
• Damage to the screen, slab, shell or significant impact on the product.
• Electrical failures due to chargers not approved by the manufacturer
• Installations not approved by the manufacturer's software (such as third-party applications)

 

The warranty doesn’t cover:

Normal wear and tear of the product and consumables are not guaranteed;

The minimum battery capacity is guaranteed for 3 months after the date of purchase but no longer if it remains functional. Beyond 85% capacity, the battery is not replaced. Defects of these parts must be pointed out during the reception of the product by the consumer;

Even so, between 3 and 6 months after receipt of the product, it can continue to be analyzed to verify if the problem does not stem from a fault or defect in the battery. The sound volume will also tend to decrease with use and over time, and a simple reduction will not justify the use of the warranty;

• Minor variations in the product that do not affect its use;

• Product defects caused by the installation of software not authorized by the manufacturer 

• Any visible physical damage to the product, such as the screen and camera. The case of a broken screen will not trigger warranty activation.

• Major manufacturing defect (which is not repairable with the replacement of defective parts), recognized by the manufacturer: these defects will only be guaranteed for a maximum of one year and then must be handled directly with the manufacturer (for example, "touch disease" or the Apple touch screen problem).

 

The warranty is invalid in the following cases:

• The handling and /or repair of any part of the product by a company other than the manufacturer or the CertiDeal partner.

• Damage (for example, marks on the case) caused intentionally to the product.

• Damage to the device, indicating improper use.

• Damage caused by force majeure or natural disaster.

• Non compliance with installation, maintenance or operating instructions.

  

Uninsured products

If a defect is found and is not covered by the terms of the warranty, the cost of return transportation is at the expense of the consumer. In addition, the consumer must pay the labor costs for product evaluation and its possible repair. If the consumer is informed of the non-applicability of the warranty and wishes to proceed with the repair, he/she must also assume the cost of replacement parts.
